Turning evidence into action for people and nature

I'm a Peruvian conservation specialist who has spent the last 15+ years working at the intersection of climate action, forest governance, and Indigenous rights — from the Andes to landscapes across Africa and Asia. I believe lasting conservation only works when it's built with the people who call these places home, which is why so much of my work centers on rights-based, gender-transformative approaches and genuine partnership with Indigenous and local communities.

I've led multi-country programmes, managed teams of up to 22 people, and helped translate complex technical work into guidance that actually shapes policy and practice, with 80+ publications and 1,400+ citations along the way. Fluent in English and Spanish, I love working across cultures, languages, and disciplines to find solutions that hold up in the real world.
